It's interesting to see scientists expressing high levels of uncertainty among themselves (albeit in a semi-public arena) but broadcasting great certainty to the public. It's a pity then that the Economist piece is helping this process along, with no sense of scientists continued difficulties with the subject.

A post last week at the blog of climate scientist Ellie Highwood revealed remarkable literary talent not just from Ellie herself but also from climate sceptic Mango Chutney. Perhaps there is a hitherto unexploited poetic propensity on both sides of the climate debate.

This picture appeared on Twitter earlier today, and shows what appears to be the mess left behind by the Balcombe anti-fracking protestors. I'm told that these people are very concerned about the state of the environment.
